Plymouth Michigan
General Information
Plymouth Michigan is the at-grade crossing of the CSX Detroit-Grand Rapids Mainline, and the CSX Toledo-Saginaw Mainline. At Plymouth, the CSX Saginaw subdivision runs north and south, the CSX Detroit subdivision comes into town from the east, and the CSX Plymouth subdivision enters town from the west. At the junction in Plymouth all four routes are connected via four connector tracks.
Accessibility
When trainspotting in Plymouth, it is possible to park in a public parking lot to see most of the action without moving. Theodore Street has parking that faces the Saginaw sub just south of the diamond. Most trains that run through Plymouth will use these tracks. There are also various other parking lots in the Plymouth area with easy access to the railroad tracks.
